Foods of Tomorrow
Methane emissions are one of the GHG that can be avoided by reducing livestock production and thus our consumption of meat. In recent years, many new companies have been created in the alternative food sector with the aim of replacing meat-based foods with other sources of protein. Today, innovations are emerging in this field of futuristic food that allow for the creation of tailor-made compositions and mimic animal meat and dairy texture. This one-day conference on tomorrow’s food will attempt to explore new developments by bringing together experts and companies specializing in the invention of alternative sources of protein to share about their achievements in this field. Innovations in the field of plant-based foods, which are the most developed sources of protein to date, will be presented by the companies and discussions will be opened on some of the challenges they face. In addition, presentations of companies producing and offering other protein sources such as algae and insect proteins will also be on the agenda.
