People like to travel for relaxation and discovery and will certainly continue to do so in the future. The one-day conference on the theme of ecotourism and conservation of natural resources will focus on the basics and principles for more responsible and sustainable tourism. The priority will be the conservation of cultural and natural sites and their protection from the pollution that mass tourism can generate. In addition, the protection of natural resources will systematically result in the strengthening of local communities to achieve the objectives of sustainable development. Sustainable innovations in tourism infrastructure and services will thus be highlighted in the various presentations of start-ups and SMEs presenting their know-how. The conference will also devote a session to open discussion on carbon offsetting programs as a means of financing the elimination of the negative impacts that mass tourism can generate. Also, a special session will be devoted to initiatives concerning the restoration of natural sites damaged by pollution and best practices in this field.
